This module is designed to enable the learner acquire necessary knowledge and skills to install, service, repair and maintain hospital plants, equipment and systems.

By the end of this module, the learner should; 1. Install, service, repair and maintain laundry equipment, kitchen equipment and their energy supplies in hospitals.

 Introduction to kitchen and laundry equipment in the hospital – importance of kitchen and laundry in hospital. Kitchen equipment; cookers, ovens, food processing equipment, food preserving equipment. Laundry equipment; pressing boxes/machines, washing machines, driers. Energy and other supplies; electricity, gas, water, steam. Maintenance aspects; explanation of maintenance aspect of kitchen and laundry equipment
