Module Content




  • Concepts in general pathology: Terminologies, branches of pathology, review of cell structure, cell division, classification of diseases, general causes of diseases and mechanisms of disease processes. 

  • Methods and principles of diagnosis: aspects of pathology and methods of studying pathology. 

  • Cell disorders: cell degenerations, necrosis and gangrene, neoplasms. 

  • Inflammation and healing: definition, pathogenesis, causes, types, tissue response to injury, outcomes of inflammation, types of wounds, mechanisms of wound healing, factors influencing wound healing and repair, complications of wound healing. Body aging process.
